Dear potential client,
Most of the questions you will likely have
about my portraits, whether in charcoal (or conte), pastel or oil,
are addressed here, though I welcome any additional ones you may
have. You will see that the chart reflects different pricing
for these media, but that the final cost is also determined by how
much of the subject is to be painted, as well as factors such as
background and clothing. Please note that there are discounts
shown for additional subjects (figures) in the same painting, and
for pet portraits.
The final cost is determined once we have
spoken and agreed upon size, composition, framing, etc. I am
happy to guide you through all the decisions which go into a
commission. For instance, many people ask about my preference
between pastel and oil portraits, and I can discuss the pros and
cons of each with you.
I look forward to hearing your vision of the
portrait you’d like to have me realize.
; the balance is due prior to shipping or upon delivery. Digital previews of completed paintings to be shipped are available on request. Requests for minor modifications in the finished portrait will be honored. My goal is complete client satisfaction. I want you to be thrilled with your portrait, and treasure it for a lifetime. The completion time of portraits in oil varies between one and three months. In other media, a portrait is usually shipped within six weeks of commissioning.
